Prides Crossing Newsletter March 2016

March 31th, 2016

Dear Prides Crossing Homeowner,

Recently the Board of Directors for Prides Crossing updated the contract for your
waste and recycling services.

Included in your service rate is (1) 96 gall waste container and (1) 96 gall recycle container (yellow lid). These containers are only compatible with our WM trucks; the arm of the truck will not be able to pick-up a customer-owned container.  If a homeowner wants an extra waste or recycle container, they are available at $5.00 per container, per month (this is billed directly to the homeowner). All waste and recycle items must be in the container.  Do not deposit bagged trash next to the waste or recycle containers.

If you do not currently have a WM waste container or WM recycle container, one will be delivered to you on Saturday, April 2, 2016.  For those homeowners that have a damaged or broken WM waste container that needs to be swapped out, please have your WM waste container on the curb by 6 AM, Saturday, April 2, 2016 and the driver will swap it out. If you prefer a smaller 64 gall waste container please send an email to to request.

Your waste and recycle service day is on Tuesday.  The Recycling Schedule is located on the Prides Crossing Website under “Other Links”.

Waste & Recycling Service Reminders
1.        Make sure your containers are on the street, one foot in front of the curb and at least 4 feet from obstructions (like parked cars, mailboxes, trees, etc.)
2.        The handle side should be facing the house with lid opening toward the street.
3.        Avoid parking cars within 20 feet of containers, as the driver will not be able to empty your container if it is blocked.
4.        Containers must be at the curbside by 7 AM.
5.        No appliances, tires, batteries, or other flammable and hazardous materials.

Feel free to contact our Customer Service Department at 800-482-6406 or 303-797-1600 with

Arapahoe County News

Hello Prides Crossing Community!

It has been brought to the attention of the Arapahoe County Assessor that residents are getting calls from a Phone Scam that they owe a special assessment on their property taxes of $1,000. If you receive one of these calls, please disregard.

To verify that you DO NOT owe $1,000 for a special assessment, please contact the Arapahoe County Treasurer’s Office at 303-795-4550 or email and their staff will be happy to assist you.

Spring-time Reminders

Looking Forward: Spring Reminders

As Spring approaches and we turn our attention outdoors this is a good time for some reminders.

Any exterior modification, such as painting, landscape changes, play equipment, patios, pergolas, new windows, new roofs, etc. requires advance approval from the ACC/ or DRC Committee.  Make sure to factor the application review into your project timeline.

If you receive a letter about painting or other maintenance items pleas respond to the letter with your plans to address the issue, this will ensure that the lines of communication are open and that the Board or committee can work with you on these items. This should be followed up with the ACC application if needed. We all want to work together to keep our community looking good.

At this time all winter holiday decorations should have been removed by 2/1 of every year from the exterior of you home.

March is usually a very windy month. Please ensure your trash is secured when set out on trash days to prevent it from blowing around the community.

On non trash days please ensure your containers are stored in compliance with Association rules Away from street view behind a fence or in a garage.

If you have a question about your account, need a copy of governing documents, need to submit a project to the ACC/ DRC, report a covenant violation or just express a compliment or concern you can reach Shane Lussier of Cherry Creek HOA Professionals at 303-693-2118 or log on to the Association’s website.

Thank you,
